In a world where souls are traded like currency, lonely villiages are tormented and burned down to obtain pure untainted and highly coveted souls. A shadowy market with otherworldly beings exists, and they are driving a tough bargain. With increasing tention, and the beings growing more eager to devour more than humans can provide, the authorities stopped giving away prisoners and the wrongly acused of crimes, as they were getting thin with the resource, and instead opted for drastic measures. Noble knights, once revered as protectors, now find themselves enacting the grim tasks they were forced to undertake – hunting down those deemed expendable, their once-bright ideals tarnished by the relentless demand for souls.
